Crimes: Rape, Murder, Attempted Murder

There is something terribly, horribly, frighteningly wrong with Joshua Keyzer of Wayland Township, Michigan, USA. On the surface he looks normal. He was considered a polite, caring, intelligent boy. At 15 years of age he was living part time in his grandma’s home.

And then on June 21, 2014, Joshua Keyzer morphed from an ordinary kid into an extraordinarily evil creature.

Kassandra KeyzerKassandra Keyzer, 21, was a student at Aquinas College. She was the mother of a 2-year-old boy. She was engaged to be married. She was also the cousin of Joshua Keyzer.

On June 21, 2014, Kassandra Keyzer was at her grandma’s home. Her grandmother, Sharon Keyzer, and her cousin, Joshua Keyzer, were in the home too. It should’ve been an ordinary day, but it turned out to be Kassandra Keyzer’s last.

I can find no explanation for what happened in that house. Joshua Keyzer himself offers none. It’s beyond comprehension to me.

Joshua Keyzer, that ordinary 15-year-old boy who had never been in trouble with the law, violently attacked his cousin. Using a knife he cut off her clothing, and he raped her. And with that knife he stabbed her repeatedly until she died.

The grandmother was also attacked with the knife. She had her throat slit. That didn’t stop the feisty 67-year-old. As badly injured as she was, she still managed to call 911.

When state troopers arrived at the home, they found a horrific scene. In the basement, Kassandra Keyzer’s body was lying on an ottoman, arms outstretched, covered in blood and stab wounds. The words “My Bad” were scrawled on a basement wall in blood.

On the floor the troopers found a pair of shorts with a knife in a pocket, a power cord, and lip balm.

Sharon Keyzer was thankfully found alive. The letter “S” was written in blood on a wall in the master bathroom. “S” for “Sorry”? We’ll never know.

As for Joshua Keyzer, the killer/rapist, he was found covered in blood and holding a knife up on the roof. Too bad for him he fell off the roof. He landed in some bushes and when he tried to flee a state trooper subdued him with a taser.

Joshua Keyzer was arrested and placed in Allegan County Juvenile Detention Center. He underwent 2 psychiatric examinations and was found competent to stand trial. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have something terribly wrong with him, just that he understood the charges and could help in his own defense.

Sharon Keyzer survived her injuries but died of cancer in late December 2014. RIP, dear lady.

The murderer pled guilty via video link on May 11, 2015 to felony murder and 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct. “I, uh, killed her, ma’am,” he told Circuit Judge Margaret Zuzich-Bakker. He offered no explanations whatsoever. There is no defense for the indefensible.

Joshua Keyzer had pled guilty as part of a plea agreement, to ensure he had some hope of parole.

On June 22, 2015 Circuit Judge Zuzich-Bakker sentenced Joshua Keyzer, 16, to 40 to 60 years in prison. His inability to explain his motivation to rape and kill proved to be a major concern for the judge.

“I have no choice in this case but to protect society … because we don’t know why, we don’t know if it’s going to happen again, we don’t know how to fix [his problems],” the judge said.

Defense attorney James Mikel McEwen was also alarmed by Joshua Keyzer’s lack of insight into his crimes. “He says he doesn’t know. That’s one of the things that scares me most,” he said.

I am relieved that for several decades Joshua Keyzer will be closely guarded and locked up. Hopefully he can do no harm while he’s in prison. And hopefully when he’s finally released he’ll be harmless to society.

“Kassandra was an amazing daughter,” said grieving mother Karen Louwenaar. I’m sure she was a lovely woman who should have been allowed to finish her education, marry the love of her life and raise her little boy to adulthood. I wish that little boy all the best.

I extend my sympathies and condolences to the friends and families of Kassandra and Sharon Keyzer. May both those women rest in peace.

Murder is Murder and Murder Deserves the Death Penalty to Stop any
More Murders Not a Holiday Camp Prison Sentence

Michigan should Restore the Death Penalty for Murder if it has Not
    already Been

    • Mike Avery says:

They have tried several times in Lansing to get the issue on the ballot. Are state’s constitution forbids the death penalty for any crime. The only way to change it would be to amend the constitution.

      • DecentPeopleOnly says:

That is Exactly what Lansing the State Capitol Needs to
Do Change the Constitution so that Villains like Murderers
are Punished instead of just Getting Away with it

    • Tamara Hunter says:

Michigan doesn’t have the death penalty to date but, as a Michigander, I think it should be put back onto the books and USED!!

Trouble is with Firearms Legislation that Restricts the Right of
Decent People to have Purchase and Ownership of Firearms is that it
can Result in only Villains who take No Notice of such Legislation
only having Firearms so People when they are Burgled at Home by
Burglars prepared to Murder or Threatened by some Nutcase trying to
Mug Them with a Weapon have No Self Defence

Firearms can Protect Lives when in the Hands of Decent People Not just take them which is why I Believe in the 2nd Amendment Upholding
    the Right to Bear Arms

Of Course Convicted Burglars and Muggers actually Guilty should Not
    have Access to Firearms

  3. DecentPeopleOnly says:

Firearms can Defend as Well as Kill which is why I am Critical of
Overly Restrictive Firearms Legislation because when Decent People
are Denied Means of Self Defence Villains like Burglars Muggers
and Rapists as Well as Murderers have a Carte Blanche License
as the Firearms Legislation they just Ignore

Which is why I Support the 2nd Amendment namely the Right to Bear Arms

Of Course Convicted Burglars and Muggers should Not Possess Firearms

This kid looks like a kid down the street. Very ordinary looking, very young yet he was capable of such evil. I’m glad he’s being incarcerated for most of his life. Prison is likely the only place where he can be stopped from killing again.

My prayers are with the little boy who lost his mom and his grandma.

Sick little bastard. I know he was never in trouble with the law but wonder if said or did things that concerned or frightened people before he turned into a rapist and murderer. Scary to think that there were no signs of his sick, evil thoughts and schemes.

  7. AngryLittleMexican says:

Ok, so judging by his fingers (and the fact he has fat little toddler hands) I’m going to say that his motive was that he has a tiny penis, other girls shunned him and he’s such an insecure asswipe (with a tiny deformed wanker) that he thought raping his OWN RELATIVE aka forcible incest was the only alternative. Gross, especially for his poor cousin. Poor thing, apparently having to see his penis caused her to freak (naturally) and enraged the Tiny Penis Bastard to where he killed her.

    Shithead
    Stupid
    Stunted
    SoTiny
^^^^^^^^^all words I think he was writing (in blood like a creeper, which could have also attributed to the lack of dates OUTSIDE his family, along with the tiny stunted deformed penis) that start with “S”

I hope prison holds a hell 1000000x worse than what he put his poor cousin through, nasty bastard.

Out of Touch Politicians in the UK who have Arrogantly Denied a
Referendum upon Restoration of the Death Penalty For Murder have
    Let the UK Down

The UK would Not be such a Murderers Paradise if Politicians had Not
Mindlessly Abolished it in the Tawdry 1960s without Consulting People via a Referendum

  9. DecentPeopleOnly says:

It is Very Sad All this Murder that goes on

  10. moodymagic says:

This is one very sad murder. The poor mother and grandmother and that poor dear child who will never have his mother in his life.

Angrylittlemexican, you’ve basically put what i was thinking, the little prick must’ve felt very inadequate in the meat and two veg department, pathetic little piece of shit he is.

  12. blinkingblythe says:

He needs to be kept in a re-enforced steel harness with collar and crotch strap all padlocked with a camper backpack like framework attached to the back for additional locks and chains. Someone this fucked up needs extra restraints.
