Crime: Animal Abuse

I know that being drunk releases a person’s inhibitions and greatly impairs judgment. Some people become gregarious, promiscuous and silly, but others become belligerent, destructive and mean. David Etzel of Florida is one of the mean drunks.

I have no patience or sympathy for drunks in general, and mean drunks in particular. After even one bout of inflicting destruction and harm those people should recognize that they ought to stay away from alcohol, but they choose to continue getting drunk. They give themselves permission to damage property and people, and that is completely unacceptable to me.

Why am I so down on drunks? A relative of mine got so drunk and so mean that when his own father refused to give him money to buy more booze he actually smashed his head in and murdered him.

Now David Etzel didn’t kill his father, but what he did whilst drunk is completely hellbeastly and reprehensible.

On April 17, 2015, David Etzel was at his mother’s Lake Worth house. He was drunk. I don’t know what compelled him, but he decided to pick on his mother’s little shih tzu, Cujo. He picked little Cujo up by the throat, and the frightened dog may have bitten him. That’s when David Etzel lost it. The drunken hellbeast decided to bite the dog back.

That’s right. The full grown 36-year-old, 6’8″, 375 pound f*ckturd decided to bite the 10 pound dog on the face. He also squeezed the dog very hard. It was such a brutal assault that it left one of Cujo’s eyeballs hanging from its socket.

CujoCujo has had to undergo 2 surgeries. The eye was reattached but the dog is permanently blind in that eye. Cujo also suffered neck injuries that were similar to being hit by a car. The vet bill came to $2200.

I’ve decided not to include any photos of Cujo after his surgery — too gruesome. I am including a photo of him in happier times before he was attacked, bless his little heart.

David Etzel was found by deputies sleeping at his mother’s house, and he was promptly arrested. He was charged with animal cruelty, and bail was set at $10,000.

In November 2015, David Etzel went to trial. His defense was that the dog bit him first. Seriously, that was his defense.

The dog abuser’s mother testified against her son. She was extremely traumatized by the assault. “I can’t go to sleep. I’m holding my dog 24/7,” she said. It seems to me the woman admired her poor doggie’s character more than she did her son’s. “Even though he doesn’t feel good, his little tail is wagging,” she proudly said of Cujo.

On November 5, 2015, the jury took less than 30 minutes to render a guilty verdict. Yay! The prosecutor brought up David Etzel’s history of violence and asked the judge for 18 months in prison.

I’m guessing the history of violence included physical harm done to people and not just animals and property.

On November 9, 2015, David Etzel was sentenced to 1 year in prison, followed by 2 years of probation. The judge also ordered him to undergo anger management and alcohol treatment.

The sentence was good news for Cujo’s owner. “I’m happy he was held accountable for what he did to my dog,” she said. “My son needs alcohol treatment, and he needs anger management treatment.” She also she said does not plan to speak to him ever again.

At least David Etzel’s mother recognizes that her son has issues. Probably everyone who has seen him drunk knows it too. Here’s hoping her son recognizes it for himself, and does something about it before he winds up like my murderous relative.

For those who want to know, the killer in my family wound up drinking rubbing alcohol in a hotel room and slitting his wrists. It was a miserable end of a useless life.

Sadistic Acts of Cruelty against Animals are Scummish and Symbolic
of a Degenerate Abomination of a Society

There should be the Death Penalty for Murder Rape Child Abuse
Bestiality and Violent Animal Cruelty Resulting in Death to the
Animal or Serious Injury such as Cats and Dogs for Instance

Wicked is right, what a horrible thing to do. If using a particular substance contributes to you doing something like that and you choose not to give that substance up permanently and forever and seek immmediate treatment/help, then the consequence/sentence involved should be whatever rotten thing it was you did while on it should like in kind be done to you!!!

Rhonda, your right, i had a boyfriend who acted like an arsehole when he had a drink and would always end up either arrested or beaten up because of his big gob, anyway i always used to say to him “look you know when you drink you act like a knobhead so the answer is don’t drink” silly that he didn’t work that one out for himself, hence i fucked off and got on with my life. He’s probably still getting pissed and beat up, daft twat he is.

Cruelty to Animals such as Cats and Dogs is Appalling so too is
    Cruelty to Birds .

It makes my Blood Boil Not only to see Birds in overly Small Cages
which leaves a Lot to be Desired but only when Scumskulls think they
are ” Hard ” Picking on Pigeons when they are just simply Nasty Scum

Pigeons are far less Vermin than Scum skulls who pick on them Mug
Decent People leave Litter laying about Not Forgetting Dogs Mess Not
cleaned up and Broken Glass laying about

Far from being the Most Intelligent of Species too Many out there are the Most Ignoramus of Species Sadly

Gandhi said, “The greatness of a nation can be judged by how it’s animals are treated.”
Clearly, we have failed this test.
I doubt he could have fathomed a society who treats it’s children even worse.
Surreal. Mind-boggling. Unconscionable. I have never felt as disconnected from the human race as I do now…
