Crimes: Attempted Murder, Arson, Fraud

Catherine Bartlett doesn’t deserve to have family and friends supporting her. IMO she doesn’t deserve to have family and friends at all. The woman from Fawley, Hampshire, UK is a fake, a phony, a thief, a liar, an arsonist, and was literally minutes away from becoming a murderer. She is, probably always was and probably always will be, a hellbeast.

Catherine Bartlett’s older sister, Rachael Bartlett, was a real go-getter. She set up her own company, NurtureItGlobal, in 2014. Rachael was also very family-oriented. She hired Catherine Bartlett as finance manager to look after her books and accounts. Rachael even trusted her sister with her credit card, debit card and pin number. Catherine Bartlett was also given access to manage the bank statements online.

Catherine Bartlett, as you can see, was handed extraordinary access and power over the business affairs of NurtureItGlobal and her sister’s life. That’s because Rachael trusted her implicitly. Unfortunately, Catherine Bartlett is the last person on earth anyone should trust with their money, their business or their lives.

The conniving, selfish and devious woman repaid her sister’s trust by stealing her blind. She considered the business account and her sister’s bank accounts as her own money, and had no qualms about spending it all on a fantastic lifestyle.

What Catherine Bartlett did was to create an imaginary person named Rick McCarthy. This fictional guy signed a fictional contract to do business with NurtureItGlobal — a contract that would bring in a fictional £60,000 a year.

The reason Rick McCarthy had to exist was to explain Catherine Bartlett’s sudden increase in income. That’s right — the imaginary man was SO impressed by her skills that he had her doing work for him 3 days a week. Once that story was established, the hellbitch immediately started spending gobs of money.

Catherine Bartlett decided to use her newfound income to impress people. She bought more than 24,000 tickets for Southampton football matches. She told her guests they “don’t pay anything because I get them for free”. She spent £20,606 of her sister’s money on those tickets, plus £2,040 on 4 tickets for a single Arsenal game. On top of that, she withdrew another £67,790.80, lavishing expensive gifts upon her boyfriend and staying in expensive hotels. Over £96,000 is what the hellbitch stole from her sister.

Now don’t get the idea that Catherine Bartlett only stole from Rachael Bartlett and her company. She also heartlessly stole £43,000 from her own father.

Of course the fantasy world of luxury and excess that Catherine Bartlett was enjoying couldn’t last — not with her sister starting to wonder about the money. Now what’s a hellbitch to do? Sacrifice the good life and confess? Hell no. Sacrifice her sister’s life and kill? Damn straight! Not only did Catherine Bartlett decide to kill, but she decided on a horrific way for her sister to die — by being burned alive.

Rachael Bartlett was living in her father’s caravan (mobile home) in Winsor with her dog, Jade. Mysteriously, on March 6, 2015, the house went up in flames. The faithful Jade woke her owner up and saved her life, but unfortunately died in the blaze. RIP, Jade the wonderful dog.

Rachael now had no home (95% of the caravan was destroyed), so she moved into her mother’s house in Bartley Hampshire. She had a badly fractured ankle.

Catherine Bartlett was beyond desperate — her murder plot hadn’t worked and now Rachael had arranged for a meeting at the bank! There was no way she could hide her thievery and deceit after that.

In the early hours of April 7, 2015 — the morning after Easter Monday — the evil hellbitch had to act. Her mother was asleep in the front bedroom of the home, and her sister was sleeping upstairs.

Catherine Bartlett had no doubt that Rachael was indeed asleep. She’d given her alcohol and sleeping tablets that night to ensure her intended victim wouldn’t wake up. At 2:30 a.m. she snuck out to her car and retrieved a gas can. She then poured petrol on the stairs — cutting off the only escape route Rachael could take to save herself. This time there was no Jade to come to her sister’s rescue.

There would also be no smoke alarms to wake Rachael up. Catherine Bartlett had disabled them.

The murderous Catherine Bartlett cold-bloodedly struck a match and set her mother’s home on fire. She immediately went outside to toss the gas can into a bin and then dashed inside “heroically” to her mother’s room. She woke up her mother, calmly helped the woman out of the burning house through a window, and at 2:38 a.m. she called 999. The two women went to the back of the house where the mother screamed and shouted for help.

Thankfully, Rachael was awakened by her mother’s screams, and made her way to the stairs. They were ablaze already. She returned to her room and decided the skylight window in the roof was her only hope of escape. She somehow managed to pull her bed under the window and heaved herself up onto the roof. She clung for her life but lost her grip, fell onto the concrete patio below and was knocked unconscious.

The emergency crews soon arrived and discovered they had a raging fire to deal with and an unconscious woman who needed to be taken to hospital.

Fire investigators were suspicious about the blaze and brought out their sniffer dog, Ruby. Ruby quickly picked up on the fact that petrol had been poured on the stairs. Uh oh. Investigators discovered that the disabled smoke alarm had Catherine Bartlett’s fingerprints and DNA on it. They also found her fingerprints and DNA on the discarded gas can and the box of matches.

Catherine Bartlett, 30, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life, and 10 counts of fraud. Incredibly, her parents chose to stand by her and cut ties with Rachael. They were angry that Rachael supported the prosecution of the devious, murderous, thieving, lying hellbitch.

Catherine Bartlett went to trial at Winchester Crown Court in November 2015. She maintained her innocence, and claimed that the fire was started by Rachael. Riiiight. The jury didn’t believe her either.

The would-be killer was found guilty of attempted murder, 10 counts of fraud and a further count of fraud for stealing from her father.

Rachael Bartlett read a victim impact statement to the court. She said, “The first two words that come to mind are heartbroken and devastated. Cathy was not only my sister but my best friend, someone I trusted and relied on. What she has done has ripped our family apart and has had a huge effect on all of us.

“I thought I trusted her and to find out our relationship was based on lies is devastating. The fact that she was then prepared to kill me to cover up her actions is so disturbing I still haven’t been able to come to terms with it.”

Rachael Bartlett continued, “This has resulted in terrible nightmares, trouble sleeping and panic attacks. I love my sister and I always thought she loved me back. All of this has come as a great shock to me, I feel the sheer magnitude of the effect on me cannot be put into words. I think Cathy needs help and I hope she gets the help she needs.”

Rachael Bartlett is a far better person than I. If my sibling did that to me, forget help. I would be hoping he/she would be sent to prison forever.

During sentencing on December 18, 2015, Judge Jane Miller QC said to the convicted woman, “We heard a breathtaking history of your wholesale dishonesty and you attempt to cover up your spending. You told lie upon lie, mounting dishonesty upon dishonesty and you were completely dishonest and unprincipled.”

The judge continued, “Quite frankly you are evil. You accepted in your evidence your behaviour was cunning, calculating and devious.”

The judge also commented upon the sisters’ parents. “They have been supporting the wrong daughter, it’s Rachael that deserves their compassion and not [Catherine]. I hope they will regret their behaviour towards Rachael and she has the generosity to forgive them.”

Judge Miller sentenced Catherine Bartlett to 25 years in prison. Yay! Except, of course, this is Britain, and I doubt very much that she will spend anywhere near that number of years behind bars.

So beware, people of Hampshire. This evil, devious, conniving, murderous thief will be rejoining society. I for one do not believe that she will change her ways. If she was willing to steal her father and her sister blind, burn down the family homes, endanger her mother’s life and try to kill her loving sister, what won’t she be willing to do?

To Rachael Bartlett I wish all the best. I hope she gets all the support and therapy she needs to recover fully.

Wow. Just wow. I can’t even imagine doing this to a complete stranger, much less my own sister…my own flesh and blood! And you are correct, Cleo, this took place in Britain, where the punishments pretty much NEVER fit the crime. No wonder people commits such heinous crimes over there…they know they will probably get just a slap on the wrist! Victims in Britain don’t get the justice they so truly deserve. Catherine Bartlett deserve to stay the entire 25 year sentence behind bars. She can think long and hard about what she did to her sister that gave her a job and trusted her. Pathetic. She is just pathetic.

  2. Bengalpuss says:

She’ll serve 12 and half years unless its a life sentence with a minimum of 25years then she’ll serve the full lot. Wtf is wrong with the parents? I think they’ve got their loyalty skewed, they need to be standing by the victim not the aggressor. That bitch catherine is a very dangerous woman and was prepared to do her sister in and then had the nerve to blame the sister for the fire, she’s right where she should be, rotting in jail. Oh i didn’t swear.

  3. Moodymagic says:

I too wonder WTF is wrong with the parents. Poor Rachel.

    • Bengalpuss says:

Moodymagic, not only has rachael had to come to terms with her sister trying to bump her off, she’s had to deal with her parents standing by the bitch sister. I don’t understand it. Poor rachael, i really feel bad for her, it was only through sheer luck that she didn’t burn to death, not that catherine didn’t try her hardest, drugging her and plying her with booze, utterly wicked.

Honestly, all I could think about this entire article was how much I dislike her parents. To think they support Catherine just blows my mind!

  6. Bengalpuss says:

Jessice11, i too dislike the parents and i think its absolutely abhorrent the way they’ve cast the victim aside when she really needed them to support her, only to stand by the daughter who was so wicked that she was prepared to murder her own flesh and blood to cover up her thievary. Poor rachael :( i feel so sorry for her, truly disgusting.

  7. Lorraine says:

If her sister had that much money why was she sleeping in her dad’s caravan?

    • Bengalpuss says:

Its irrelevant where she slept, and she didn’t have that much money because her cunt of a sister was fleecing her blind. And even if she lived in a castle the bitch of a sister would’ve torched that place too.

  8. Kala says:

I think alot of people starting off businesses live in the cheapest accommodations possible to be able to pour everything back into the business. The parents are pathetic. I would want her in prison for killing a dog more loyal than her, poor girl got a whole bad family and her only faithful family member slain.

    Arson is of course Terrible.

Vandalism of War Memorials and places of Worship like Churches is
    Reprehensible and should be Addressed

  10. DecentPeopleOnly says:

Thugs Damaging Children’s Play Areas like Damaging Swings or Setting off
Fires or Grafitti should be Fined at least £15,000 Pounds and Serve at
    Least 3 Years in Prison

Heard with Great Disgust about an effective Riot involving something

A Sign of the Degeneracy of this Country under Social Liberalism

  12. DecentPeopleOnly says:

Wherever Rioters are Young or Old if they are Looting and Vandalizing
Assaulting up to Murder it is the Human Rights of Victims which Matter

Rioters engaged in Looting and Vandalizing Assaulting up to the Level of
Murder should Not be Condoned but rather Condemned

  13. DecentPeopleOnly says:

Threats to Murder like to Cut someone’s Head Off are a Serious Matter

They Need to Warrant a Prison Sentence of at Least 5 Years and having
on them at the Time any Thing which could be Actually be Used to give
Effect to that Threat or getting to get any such Instruments to carry out
that Heinous Threat Needs to Warrant a Prison Sentence of at least 20 Years and be Banned for Life for Having any Sharp Instruments like Metal
    Knifes

Threats to Murder of that Nature are close to on a Par to Attempted Murder

  14. DecentPeopleOnly says:

I would also Add a Fine of £25,000 Pounds at Least
