ANTHEA KLEYNHANS

Crimes: Child Murderer.

Dear readers, this is a story that was generously contributed by Harper Blythe. I thank her very much for her article.

Little Lache Stols was a sweet, innocent 3 year old little girl that was brutally beaten to death by Anthea Kleynhans.

Little Lache lived with her biological mother in Oudtshoorn, South Africa for the greater part of her life. Towards the end of 2011, little Lache’s biological father, Jacobus Angelo Stols, fetched little Lache from her grandmother and took her to Cape Town without consent from her mother.

Anthea Kleynhans, Angelo’s girlfriend would be little Lache’s new stepmother and she had to take care of little Lache when Angelo went to work. She was not happy about this and felt resentful and angry as she felt she had not been given a choice in the matter. Anthea had two children of her own.

On January 23, 2012 Anthea claims she consumed large amounts of alcohol. During this time little Lache soiled her pants and Anthea proceeded to repeatedly assault little Lache who suffered blunt force trauma.

The beatings were done by hand, a belt and other objects. After the brutal attack, Anthea took little Lache to change her clothes. Lache started vomiting and stopped breathing. Anthea called Angelo at work and told him to come home. He took little Lache to hospital but she died upon arrival from injuries sustained. Anthea and Angelo tried to cover up by saying that little Lache died from meningitis but upon further investigation by police it was discovered that Anthea violently beat Lache.

Various old and new wounds were found on little Lache’s body. She had blue marks all over her body and bruise marks around her neck. Her little bum and back were covered in lashes which appeared to have been made by a stick. She had two broken ribs, a broken arm and toe and her skull was cracked.

Anthea was arrested and on 24 October 2017 she was found guilty of murder and child abuse in the Western Cape High Court. The judge said that the State had proven that Anthea Kleynhans intended to kill little Lache.

During trial Anthea pleaded not guilty to murder but did admit that she beat Lache. She also claimed that she couldn’t remember all the blows which the judge said was convenient as it would show her viciousness.

There were also questions as to why little Lache’s biological mother did not attempt to fetch Lache from her father but she said that she was unemployed and that Lache was with her father.

Little Lache was in Anthea’s care for approximately 4 months during which she made little Lache’s short life a living hell. She admitted to giving Lache regular beatings and that Lache would try to run away from her during the beatings. I dread to think the trauma little Lache suffered at the hands of Anthea Kleynhans and the fear she must have felt.

Anthea Kleynhans never beat her own children.

Anthea Kleynhans knew full well that little Lache would ultimately die from the abuse but she didn’t care. She will be sentenced on 4 December 2017.

Jacobus Angelo Stols also needs to answer as this abuse took place in his home. Surely he must have seen the marks on little Lache’s body? Why didn’t he take steps to protect her? The judge stated that there was no way that the father could not have known about the abuse as various family members told him that Anthea abused little Lache and he should face prosecution. Why didn’t any of the family members report the abuse to the police or child services?

LACHESo many things could have been done to save little Lache’s life but society failed her and she must have felt so unloved, unprotected and unsafe. There was no escape for her. She was trapped, unable to fend for herself and no attempts were made to rescue her from her situation and her demise was slow and systematic at the hands of Anthea Kleynhans. Such a level of cruelty is unimaginable to me and all I can do is send love out to Little Lache’s spirit and hope and trust that she is at peace now.

I will continue to monitor with regard to the father’s prosecution, if any, and report back.

Totally agree. People who do that to little kids should never be allowed to see the light of day ever again!

Why did it take so long to arrest this piece of shit? And the father, I use that term loosely, should allowed in prison, he defended this piece of shit instead of standing up for his own flesh and blood, despicable.

  4. Dawn says:

WHY? Why did he go get her? Why didn’t he leave her where she was??

That’s what I was thinking also. Why didn’t he leave her where she was instead of fetching her into the arms of evil.

This…thing…(I cannot refer to it as even human) is the biggest coward on the face of the earth! I bet she’d piss her pants if a 12 year old were to confront her! Beating a helpless little 3 year old BABY. Boy, I hope she is proud of herself. I hope she never has another peaceful second of her pathetic and hopefully short life!
